Micro Focus has once provided a version of its famous server lifecycle management solution called DCAA.

If your company has already purchased 2016 release of Data Cen1ter Automation suite, then you may have already this appliance implemented.

That appliance includes Server Automation(SA) with PostgreSQL and OO server as well as DCA Automation portal. the SA version included is 10.2x, Micro Focus Data Center Automation team recently released an update for their customers that allow them to get SA updated to latest version (10.6x).

To update your appliance you will need to download the following files:

APPLIANCE ELECTRONIC DOWNLOAD FILES (~24 GB total size to download)

 1.  DCAVA_00020.bin
 2.  DCAVA_00008.tgz
 3.  DCAVA_00009.tgz
 4.  DCAVA_00010.tgz
 5.  DCAVA_00011.tgz
 6.  DCAVA_00012.tgz
 7.  DCAVA_00013.tgz
 8.  DCAVA_00014.tgz
 9.  DCAVA_00015.tgz

Follow the installation steps below:

DOWNLOAD VERIFICATION and REASSEMBLY
====================================
1. All downloaded files must be placed in the same directory (for example,
/cust)

3. Run the bin script
   # sh DCAVA_00020.bin

   Note: DCAVA_00020.bin will perform the following:
       * Check the downloaded file integrity
       * Assemble the split files
       * Extract DCA Upgrade to SA 10.60 bits into a directory called
DCA_Virtual_Appliance_upgrade_with_SA_10.60
       * Provide needed information for DCA Upgrade

3. Successful execution of bin script should create an assembled tgz package
called DCAVA.tgz (~23.7GB in size) and also extract its contents into directory
DCA_Virtual_Appliance_upgrade_with_SA_10.60 (~24 GB in size)

Note: This process will require approximately 60 GB of space in total. Ensure
you have enough free disk space available where you extract the install files.


DCAA UPGRADE PROCESS

Please follow the upgrade procedure from the
"DCA_Virtual_Appliance_upgrade_with_SA_10.60_README.pdf" available in the
DCA_Virtual_Appliance_upgrade_with_SA_10.60 folder.
